SINTAC & ECUD: With the mission of creating a residue-free landscape

Within the framework of its Corporate Social Responsibility, SINTAC RECYCLING has participated in the voluntary clean-up of the natural park of the Turia River, a protected natural area. The so called “Clean Up Day”is a European initiative, dedicated to the prevention of waste across Europe. Thus, its mission is to create a residue-free landscape.

Over 20 employees of SINTAC, together with other volunteers from the companies PICDA and Sp-Berner, have joined the Green Volunteering initiative from Cicloplast and AIMPLAST, in an Awareness Workshop Day. The initiative shows the commitment of the appointed enterprises from the plastic sector, with the preservation of the natural environment.

The workshop begun with an awareness-rising talk, in which the benefits of recycled plastic regarding the daily life and the environment were explained. Vicente Olmos, CEO at SINTAC RECYCLING, emphasized the role of his company in the achievement of a circular economy and claimed the use of recycled plastics for combating climate change.

While the adults were attending the talk, and receiving instructions for the effective cleaning of the natural park, the children enjoyed didactic activities. The children also got first-hand knowledge about the animal species and autochthonous vegetables from the natural park, a green lung of 4.692 hectares with a great ecological value.
