Sintac joins the United Nations Global Compact
Sintac begins the year 2023 by reaffirming its commitment to corporate social responsibility, joining the United Nations Global Compact and thus becoming a partner of the largest global sustainability initiative.
The Global Compact is the UN’s Private Sector Business Sustainability Initiative, which is mandated by the United Nations to act as a catalyst for the efforts of companies and organisations to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda. Its main objective is to promote the implementation of the Ten Principles in the business sector so that it fulfils its basic responsibilities in the areas of human rights, environment, anti-corruption and labour.
Sintac’s CEO, Vicente Olmos, is enthusiastic about the initiative: “Since its inception, Sintac has been committed to economic, ecological and social sustainability. Therefore, we feel very aligned with the Ten Principles of the Global Compact as well as with the SDGs of the European Agenda 2030, and we have taken a step forward by joining the UN Global Compact to support a unique and transformative initiative that is leading the global change towards a more sustainable society. Our responsibility as a leading company in plastics recycling and circular economy projects is to leave our good mark on the planet, and to collaborate, with respect for the environment, to achieve a better planet for everyone”.
