Sintac Recycling consolidates its leadership in recycled plastics at Equiplast 2021

Last September 14th Sintac Recycling actively participated in the 19th edition of the International Exhibition of Plastics and Rubber EQUIPLAST, the first major European industrial fair of this year, which took place at the Gran Via Exhibition Centre (Fira de Barcelona) from 14 to 17 September 2021.

Sintac’s stand, in the real neuralgic point of the Fair, has been visited by customers, administrations and big companies interested in recycled plastic materials, as well as in carrying out Circular Economy projects and environmental marketing and communication campaigns.

This edition, Sintac Recycling has had the honour to count on the presence of RIGK, founded 30 years ago by renowned companiesof the chemical and plastics sector and responsible for 7 SCRAPs (Collective Systems of Extended Producer Responsibility) for industrial, hazardous and non-hazardous packaging waste.

In 2020, after more than 20 years of collaboration between Sintac and RIGK, Sintac became the Official Agency of RIGK in Spain, to advise Spanish companies in the fulfilment of their legal obligations regarding the novelties in the German VerpackG Law (modified in July 2021) and in the processing of their adhesion to the RIGK systems.

On the other hand, Equiplast has been the first fair of Sintac Recycling since the acquisition, by GCR Group, of a stake in Sintac. This strategic alliance between both companies responds to the objective of expanding the offer of sustainable and circular solutions, prioritizing the environmental commitment. The agreement is an important step forward towards the transition to a more sustainable plastics industry, promoting the circular economy to give plastics a second life, through the marketing of 100% recycled and recyclable products.

As the international meeting point for the plastics and rubber industry, Equiplast provided a key space for net-working, with 15,000 visiting delegates and 377 exhibiting companies.

Sintac as a participant in major national and international trade fairs continues to grow and to represent one of the largest plastic recycling companies in Spain. After the success at Equiplast, Sintac continues with its preparations to be present at the rest of the fairs.
