Sintac is from its beginnings the official Agency in Spain of RIGK GmbH, which manages in Germany, since 29 years ago. RIGK, promoted by and for the chemical and plastics industry, is the pioneer in Europe in implementing Collective Extended Producer Responsibility Systems (EPRS) for various waste streams. It currently coordinates 7 SCRAPs in Germany, two of which are for commercial and industrial packaging, as well as systems for agricultural plastics, packaging and non-packaging, hazardous and non-hazardous.

It also develops Circular Economy projects for industrial, commercial and agricultural packaging. One of the most current projects is Chemcircular, the commitment of RIGK and Sintac in Spain for a SCRAP of industrial packaging of chemical companies, inspired by the management systems of RIGK in Germany. The main objective of this system is to help Spanish companies to comply with the legislation on waste and packaging, organizing a monitoring system, combined with a direct management system for industrial packaging.

During the meeting they shared experiences and analyzed together the legislative developments in the plastics and recycling sectors both in Germany and Spain, in terms of packaging management, in their respective countries at European level.
