Sintac attends IDENTIPLAST 2019

During the 7th and 8th of March, the 14th edition of one of the most important and consolidated events in the plastics sector, IDENTIPLAST 2019 in London, was held, with the participation of 40 presentations and 340 delegates from all around the world.

During the event, the EPOR Prizes were awarded to the Best Recycled Plastic Product, in recognition of innovation.

The German company Alpra Werke, Alwin Lehner HmbH & Co. KG with ‘The Simple One’ was on e of the winners of the EPRO Award, with the bottle produced from a single layer of HDPE 100% recyclable and designed to not need a cap, being 60% lighter than a conventional one.

The meeting was attended by speakers from almost all continents, coming from countries such as Canada, USA, Japan, Colombia and Ghana, as well as representatives of companies and public and private organizations from most European countries.

Politicians from the European Commission held conferences on the future of plastics in a Circular Economy. Furthermore, leading companies in plastics such as Dow, Basf, Ineos and LYB, among others, presented their strategies for the future in terms of Sustainability.

The The two main conclusions of the event are:

  • > Plastics save energy, prevent food losses and reduce emissions in the transport sector, among others.
  • Voluntary Agreements of the industry, Extended Producer Responsibility Systems and the Commitment of the entire plastics Value Chain, are the three keys to transform the Plastics Industry into a Circular Economy.
