Vicente Olmos speaks on the challenges within the industry at the International Recycling Forum
The second and last day of the International Recycling Forum concluded with a remarkable program, opening with a welcome speech by Jan Bauer and Mike Jefferson and featuring a speech by SINTAC Recycling’s CEO, Vicente Olmos Jorge, on the current status and the challenges ahead within the plastics industry.
The program included some very interesting sessions around two main themes, “Overcoming regulatory challenges and driving industry-wide transformation” and “Plastics recycling in the agricultural sector.”

During the first part, dedicated to addressing regulatory challenges, a panel discussion moderated by Joachim Quoden (EXPRA) was held, featuring panelists such as Herbert Snell (Snell GmbH), Mike Jefferson (EPRO), Dr. Isabell Schmidt (IK) and Gian De Belder (Procter & Gamble).
The second part on plastics recycling in the agricultural sector, comprised presentations by Pierre de LEPINAU (ADIVALOR) on “the legally binding treaty against plastic pollution”, and Ewald Werschmann (Tama Group) on “closed loop and product innovations in the binder bale sector”. In addition, Liam Moloney from IFFPG presented the success story on Agri-Plastics Recycling in Ireland, and Steven Bryce from CropLife Europe lectured on “the commitments of the crop protection industry to the circular economy”.

From SINTAC Recycling we would like to congratulate once again all the speakers for their inspiring presentations, and RIGK and EPRO for making the International Recycling Forum a platform for plastics industry professionals to discuss, connect and foster the sustainability of recycled plastics!
