Strengthening our collaboration within the European Union LIFE Programme ecosystem
Technical exchange and shared sustainability goals
SINTAC Recycling continues to strengthen collaborations across the European Union LIFE Programme ecosystem through technical exchange and the promotion of shared sustainability objectives. In this context, the company welcomed representatives from the Slovenian Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Energy, together with the LIFE CLOOVER² project team, at its facilities.
This collaborative framework is aligned with SINTAC Recycling’s ongoing commitment to the development and implementation of advanced circular solutions for the plastics sector.

Project presentations and progress updates
During the visit to SINTAC Recycling’s facilities, the objectives and progress of the LIFE CLOOVER² project were presented. The project focuses on promoting innovative solutions based on the reuse and recycling of plastic food-contact packaging.
Representatives from the Ministry also presented their work on the LIFE IP CARE4CLIMATE project, an initiative aimed at promoting Green Public Procurement (GPP) and capacity building within public institutions and universities.
In addition, they highlighted activities related to dissemination and awareness raising, as well as the technical support provided to LIFE projects to increase their impact in areas such as sustainability, energy efficiency and CO₂ emissions reduction.

Circular economy and plastic waste valorisation
In line with its sustainability strategy, SINTAC Recycling promotes initiatives aimed at transforming plastic waste streams into high-value secondary raw materials. These solutions support closed-loop approaches, improve resource efficiency and contribute to reducing CO₂ emissions throughout the polymer value chain.
Collaboration and shared learning
The meeting created an opportunity for dialogue and knowledge exchange through a question-and-answer session that reinforced collaboration and shared learning while exploring potential future activities and lines of cooperation.
The day concluded with a shared lunch, providing an additional opportunity to continue exchanging ideas in a more informal setting.
